WeatherPulse is designed with privacy in mind. All personal data, including your favorite locations and recent searches, is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers.
Location Data
If you choose to use the "Auto-detect location" feature, your browser will request permission to access your device's geolocation. This location data is only used to fetch weather information and is not stored on our servers. You can deny this permission at any time through your browser settings.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide weather information:
- OpenWeatherMap: Provides current weather and forecast data
- National Weather Service: Provides severe weather alerts (US only)
- RainViewer: Provides weather radar imagery
These services may collect data according to their own privacy policies when you use WeatherPulse.

We use browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) to save your preferences, favorite locations, and recent searches. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
